Audi’s new midsize crossover has a lot going on inside. The interior features a new version of the company’s Multi-Media Interface. A large touchpad on the center console, much like ones used with personal computers, features eight programmable buttons along the top and is intended to make tedious tasks like entering addresses in the navigation system a cinch. Improved voice recognition through Google Voice will help in that regard as well. The instrument cluster is now one big, high-resolution screen—what Audi calls its Virtual Cockpit, which can be customized to display different information in various layouts. Perhaps the biggest novelties are two optional infotainment tablets for the rear seat. They have the latest processor, wifi, HD cameras and can be used outside the vehicle like an iPad.
